Joining the program
Who can become a partner?
People and organisations whose audience or clients form and run companies internationally: accelerators, founder communities, consultants, accountants and advisers, agencies, educators and creators. Partners can be based in any country.
Why is the program invitation-only?
Every partner gets direct support and is paid only through licensed providers, so the VenturStaq team onboards partners individually with a single-use invitation. To be considered, email partners@venturstaq.com.
I received an invitation. What do I do?
Open the link in the email, or choose Activate invitation and paste your invitation token. You will set a password, accept the partner agreement and then turn on two-step sign-in in your settings.
Does it cost anything to join?
No. There is no fee to join or to stay in the program.
Referrals and tracking
How are referrals tracked?
Your link carries a signed referral code. If the founder creates a VenturStaq account within 90 days of clicking it, they are credited to you. The first partner whose link was used keeps the referral.
Can I create more than one link?
Yes. Besides your personal link you can create named campaign links, and your portal shows clicks and sign-ups for each one.
Are self-referrals credited?
No. A customer who signs up with your own partner email address is not credited to you.
Commissions
How are commissions calculated?
20% of each of a customer’s first three monthly payments, 6% of their first yearly payment (once), or 10% of the VenturStaq service fee on eligible services. Commissions use what the customer actually paid after discounts, exclude taxes and government fees, and round down to the cent.
Is there a lifetime or recurring commission?
No. Monthly plans earn on the first three payments only, and yearly renewals do not earn a commission.
What happens if a customer is refunded?
The commission for that payment is reversed. If it was already paid to you, the amount is recovered from future commissions. Refunded payments still count toward the three-payment limit.
What if a customer changes plan?
Upgrades, downgrades and payment-method changes do not restart the three-payment count, and a customer who earned you monthly commissions does not earn a second first-payment commission when they switch to yearly.
Holds and balances
Why is there a hold before I can be paid?
So refunds and card disputes can settle. Each of your first three commissions waits 15 days; every later commission waits 7 days. Every commission shows its own release date.
What do Pending, Available, Reserved and Paid mean?
Pending: earned and inside its hold. Available: the hold is over. Reserved: included in a payout that is being processed. Paid: the payment provider has confirmed the payout.
Can I spend or transfer my balance?
No. Your balance is a commission owed to you, not a wallet. It cannot be topped up, transferred to other people or used to buy anything, including VenturStaq services. It can only be paid out to you.
Payouts and tax
What is the minimum payout?
$50.00 in your Available balance. You can request a payout or let scheduled payouts run weekly or monthly.
Where can I be paid?
To a bank or mobile money account in your name that the payment provider has verified. Payouts open country by country as licensed payment providers approve VenturStaq; your portal shows whether payouts are open for your country. Until then your commissions keep adding up.
Are there fees?
The payment provider’s transfer fee and any exchange-rate cost are deducted from the payout. You see the fee, the exchange rate, any tax withheld and the exact amount you will receive before you confirm.
Which tax forms do I need?
US persons and entities submit Form W-9; non-US individuals submit Form W-8BEN and non-US entities Form W-8BEN-E, or the local equivalent. Tax is withheld only under an approved rule for your situation; without one, your payout is held rather than taxed at a guessed rate.
Account and security
I forgot my password.
Use Forgot password on the sign-in page. We email a single-use reset link that expires after 30 minutes. Resetting your password signs you out everywhere.
Why is there a hold after I change my payout details?
Changing where you are paid requires two-step sign-in and starts a 72-hour security hold on payouts, and we email you, so nobody can redirect your money without you noticing.
I lost my authenticator app.
Contact partners@venturstaq.com. After verifying your identity, the team can reset two-step sign-in; payouts are then held for 72 hours as a precaution.
Is this the same account as my VenturStaq customer account?
No. The partner portal is a separate system with its own sign-in.
Promoting VenturStaq
Do I need to disclose that I am a partner?
Yes. Whenever you share a referral link, make clear that you may earn a commission. The disclosure guidelines page has approved wording.
What must I not promise?
Do not promise bank account, payment processor or government approvals, and do not present VenturStaq as a law firm, accounting firm or bank. Those decisions are made by independent third parties.
Can I bid on VenturStaq brand keywords in search ads?
No. Bidding on VenturStaq trademarks or brand keywords is not allowed under the partner agreement.
Still have a question?
The partnerships team answers by email.
